Hey everyone, I managed to be able to install OSX 10.6.4 and it runs.I'm able to get sound to work using voodoohda experimental and ethernet to work with the kext provided in #####. ( i used the tonymacx86 ##### + ##### guide)

I really am a noob and have no idea what to do, can anyone point me in the right direction?

I'd like to get my machine

intel dp55wb

i7 860 processor

nvidia quadro fx 1800

creative fatality champion sound card (im sure osx doesn't recognize this) to run without any problems.

I wanted to install new kexts hoping some of these would be better hardware compatible but every time i mess with kext utility, my computer will no longer be able to boot.

Problems ive had is

unable to get past apple boot screen with the revolving circle graphic under neath the apple logo.

a crash where it says hold power to shut down and then restart screen.

usually this occurs when i run ##### fix permissions or run kext utility by itself, they cause these crashes. from a fresh install and no tweaking afterwords it works fine, otherwise it brings me to those problems.

How do i install kexts, and have a succesful boot next time i start the computer?

how do i rebuild cache? What does it mean to rebuild cache ( i honestly looked really hard to find this answer)

If i already installed 10.6.4 and want to redo the ##### package again, what do i need to do remove old /E/E and S/L/E kexts and be able to come back to a succesful boot without the ##### disc?

Could someone really point me in the right direction and provide me a step by step of the process in how to achieve this?

like for example, drag kext into kext utility, drag /e/e folder into kext utility, drag /s/l/e into utility, and then restart computer?

It would also be really helpful if someone could tell me which advance options to choose from within #####.

Otherwise, i have to start fresh by repartition my machine and do the whole install process again, please help.

I really tried search bar, many of the posts are irrelevent to my motherboard and my questions. I tried the tutorials on how to rebuild cache and install kexts but they involved terminal, i was hoping i could get answers on kext utility
