I have a Hackintosh built with the following specs:

* Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2

* Core i5-750

* 250GB SATA hard drive on the Intel port

* 4GB OCZ PC12800-DDR3 RAM

* IDE DVD drive on a SATA Converter from Lite-On (don't remember exact model, but it works fine.)

* nVidia GeForce 7300LE 256MB graphics card

As I've successfully built a few installations, I installed using the ##### CD, but after booting and updating to 10.6.4 I manually installed Chameleon and my kexts, which are as follows:

* IOAHCIBlockInjector (for making the SATA drives appear internal)

* ALC888b enabler (LegacyHDA) and downgrade to 10.6.2 audio kext

* JMicronATA (to enable the Gigabyte SATA/IDE ports)

* fakesmc (IIRC I need this so that DSMOS will function)

* RealtekR1000SL for the Ethernet card

I also installed a modified DSDT found on this forum, added a Device string to boot plist for the nVidia card, and configured SMbios to emulate a Mac Pro.

All in all the system functions great, a real Mac couldn't perform much better. Except that randomly, with no rhyme or reason, and only after at least 2 days of uptime, the system partially freezes.

By partially freezes, I mean certain apps will lock up hard, while others will not. For example, Finder is most often the app that will lock up. (By lock up, I mean that it will become unresponsive and switching to it will just result in a spinning beachball that never goes away - at least not for 30 minutes, as I haven't waited longer than that to find out.) Attempting to open Terminal will cause it to lock hard with the beachball; same for Activity monitor or Console. Trying to log out will cause a beachball before the login screen appears, and trying to switch to another user using fast user switching will lock up after the password is entered.

Also, attempting to SSH into the system will simply timeout, the connection will be made but the password will never be requested. If an existing SSH session is underway, attempting to do anything, even "ls", will cause that session to lock up and become unresponsive.

Opening more trivial apps, like Quicktime Player however, will work. Quicktime will open and its menu bar will be functional. Try to do Cmd+O to bring up a file selection window, however, and it too will die with a beachball.

Even trying to force-quit an app will cause the force quit dialog to lock up with a beachball.

It seems like some API call is deadlocking and bringing everything else down with it slowly as things try to use that API. What is particularly frustrating about this is that after using the hard reset switch to reboot the machine, absolutely nothing abnormal appears in Console or in any other log files I can find. It just looks like a reboot was performed without a proper shutdown - an abrupt end to logs. No error messages, no complaints or anything. Just looks like a power failure.

I'm at al oss as to where to go from here. As this behavior typically only occurs after 2 days of uptime, it's hard to even try different things to see if it helps. There's no specific action that causes a lockup - it can happen while playing iTunes, watching movies in QT, browsing in Safari - no specific action seems to trigger it.

I've attached the complete output from System Profiler (edited only to remove personally-identifiable information)

Anyone have any advice?... Thanks much in advance
