l2e
Finally got around to building a hackintosh and I followed the how-to over at tonymacx86. It is working beautifully with no issues so far. However, I installed it on a 64GB SSD just to test. Now I want to keep the SSD as the boot drive for the OS and use my 2TB drive for data. I formated the 2TB drive as MAC OS Extended (Journaled) and now I can see another drive in Finder. So I go to install Office 2011 and choose the 2TB as the destination but it says it can only be installed on the OSX drive. How do I get OSX to allow me to install apps to the larger 2TB drive? If you haven't noticed, I am a complete noob when it comes to OSX. I did google searches and searches on various forums but no luck. Any suggestions? Astarael
OS X uses its system drive for all apps installation. I didn't hear about anybody who changed it so you have just bear with office on your boot partition.
