Firewire on Asus P5WDG2-WS Pro?

I have installed iatkos s3 on my Asus P5WDG2-WS Pro board and everything seems to be working fine except firewire, which i absolutely need. It seems to be a Texas Instruments TSB43AB22 (104c:8023) but after hours of searching I cant find any kexts for it. Do I absolutely have to edit the DSDT? I have no idea how to do it and theres very few tutorials. I am a programmer but have never messed with DSDT. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Howdy imloggedin, I was wondering if you could give me the package choices you made on the iatkos s installation. I seem to only be able to boot into safe mode. Otherwise I get kernel panic. I am NOT a programmer but do have somewhat pc and mac experience. I only chose the hardware that is on my system but still get the panic. I got iatkos 7 to work pretty well but am struggling with snow leopard. Thanks in advance.
