Rurodrig
Hello, I've read some other post's with the same problem but none of them as an answer. I've installed Mac OSX on a toshiba laptop tecar M2 and it works weel, except for a few sings and one of them is the menu bar. The spotlight icon flashes and I dont have any other information like time and date. How can I correct this issue? Rammjet
One suggestion I read is to replace your SystemUIServer.app in /System/Library/CoreServices. If you download the 10.4.7 Combo Update (Intel) from Apple, you can download and use Pacifist to install the app. Repair permissions in Disk Utility afterward to be safe and then reboot. Rurodrig
Hi, I've installed 10.4.7 upgrade and it worked. I have now sptolight and the menu bar functioning. Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23552-menu-bar-not-working/#findComment-156332 Share on other sites
megaphat
I have the same trouble with the menubar. I'm currently downloading the 10.4.7 combo (intel), and will tell you how it goes with fixing the menu bar through pacifist. Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23552-menu-bar-not-working/#findComment-156845 Share on other sites

As I said, you should then use Pacifist to install the SystemUIServer.app in /System/Library/CoreServices Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23552-menu-bar-not-working/#findComment-156857 Share on other sites
megaphat
Yeah, I didn't install the update - I used pacifist. Unfortunantly it seems to have killed my os x install. When restarting, it just comes up with the background, no UI or anything. What do I do now, replace the systemUIServer.app with the old one? Is there any safe boot mode? megaphat
Well I ended up reinstalling OSX - replacing the file didn't work. I guess i'll have to live without a menu bar.
