So far I've gotten Snow Leopard installed on my computer. I used a retail 10.6.3 install dvd and Empire EFI v1.085 and it installed fine. However, when I go to do the post installation from the Empire EFI disc (only thing different I select is chocolate kernel for AMD support) it installs the patches and when I reboot without the disc it acts like its loading and the wheel is spinning then all of a sudden a small icon appears (circle with a line through it) and it just sits there. Now my hardware in my PC is fairly new so I'm not expecting this to work 100%. But I can boot back into the partiton through the empire EFI disc I made but thats the only way. Any suggestions please post.

Hi,

Can you please tell me your BIOS version and the settings that you used? I can't even get to the installer with this mobo.. Did you use Empire EFI v1.085 or Empire EFI v1.085 R2?

Did you continue using your hackintosh build or did you find a better way of installing it perhaps?

The reason why you can't boot without cd probably has something to do with your bootloader and/or kernel.

You could look here for more info:

I hope you can help me as well, but this is a fairly old topic it seems ^^
