So I had a 1 TB external HP drive which broke. The usb plug wasn't soldered to well or something. I tried soldering it back but no luck, it didn't work. So I took it apart and all it really was is a Wester Digital drive with a little addon board for the usb and the power. So I took it off and put it in my desktop via sata. I enabled it in the bios everything checked out. When I loaded my mac, it gave me an error saying disk insertion error blah blah blah. I looked in the disk utility and it says that it's not partitioned, but it is partitioned with hfs+ journaled. I'm sure I could just reformat it but there is some very valuable information that I need to get first. Anybody know of any solutions?
