I have a HP Pavillion a1108.uk with 1.7 GB of ram and a 1.8 dual core AMD opteron in it.

 

MOBO - MSI MS-7184 (or AmethystM-GL6E)

 

CPU - AMD Opteron 1.8GHz x2

 

RAM - 3x 512mb 333mhz DDR SDRAM PC2700 + 1x 256mb 333mhz DDR PC2700 SDRAM

 

GFX - nVidia Quadro NVS 290

 

Chipset - Chipset

Northbridge: ATI RS482

Southbridge: ATI SB400

 

Onboard audio or audio card Controller: AC-97

Realtek ALC658C 6-channel CODEC chipset

Location: Integrated

 

Everything else I have working on Kalyway AMD 10.5.2 all apart from sound

Have you tried with voodooHDA.kext?
