I tried to install iATKOS S3 v2 on a ASUS P5QPL-AM motherboard. The motherboard is not having any option for AHCI.

The install is always stuck at the following line ACPI : System State [s0 S3 S4 S5] (S3)

I've tried all the flags like -x, -v, cpus-1, platform-ACPI:x86pc, Platform=acpi etc. but in vain...

The BIOS Power Settings are:

ACPI: S3

ACPI 2.0 : Enabled

APIC Support: Enabled

I tried all variations of the BIOS power settings but no avail.

Is there any way to install with Kext or by any hacks or by using any bootloader flags ?

I checked the hardware compatibility page of the OSx86 Project and there it's mentioned like:

# Installation Method: Retail Installed to SATA from another Mac + Chameleon 2 RC4 + Kexts (Installation via Boot132 + Retail Fails Mid-Install)

# 64 Bit Enabled (arch=x86_64)

# Kexts: evOreboot.kext, fakesmc.kext, PlatformUUID.kext, NVEnabler 64.kext (for Resolution Change)

# No DSDT.aml needed (when present causes sleep problems)

# CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core E6300 2.8 Ghz

# SATA: Bios Settings: Under Drive Configuration, Choose Compatible, SATA Only (to get IDE DVD working)

Please help me since I'm a newbie...

Can I use ##### + Original SL DVD ? Will that work ?
