jerryskate
I downloaded a 10.4.4 and applied maxxxus patch on and viola! perfekt installation, exept i had to change network.kext to the 10.4.3 one.. then yesterday i tried to change the drivers for the graphics card and no more os x... Couldn´t get the bootdisk to boot, and i decided to format the disk. I tried it with fat32 and wirh ntfs, with my 104.4 boot disk and also the 10.4.6 jas disk, doesnt work. I get stucked with the apple and the eternal load.. I get the same diagnosis on both boot disks : "Sam multimedia: Read or Write failed ,asc = 9x11, ascq=0x00" I had xp on one disk and os x on the other, and statred it with dualboot, you know when you change the boot.ini file. i have removed the line i put there. my spec: Motherboard: Abit IC7 -G HD : 160 gig Seagte - ATA Dvd/CD: _nec dvd_rwnm - 2500A Graphic card: Ati Radeon 9800 Pro Ram: 1023 mbit Anyone knows how to get a clean native installation? preferably 10.4.6 JAS Thanx a whole bunch in advance! Rammjet
I get the same diagnosis on both boot disks : "Sam multimedia: Read or Write failed ,asc = 9x11, ascq=0x00" This usually means a problem with the DVD recorder. It is having trouble reading the DVD. Might try burning the DVD again at slowest speed. If that doesn't work, can you borrow another DVD reader? jerryskate
Yeah, i read something about it meaning the media cant be read. But it worked the first time i installed it, with my 10.4.4. and seeing that BOTH 10.4.6 and the 10.4.4 get the same error, and given the fact they boot in vmware, i guess is not anything wrong with the cd´s. but of course i can try to se if i can borrwo a external dvd from someone. Im out of dvd´s so i cant try to burn the jas disk today... thanx for the pointers though!
