mdimportserver and finder crashed.

I apologize in advance if i have posted this message in the wrong forum.

I seem to be having two separate problems. First of all, the mdimportserver keeps crashing every 10-15 seconds making my mac very slow. Secondly, everytime I try to mount a .DMG file, the Finder crashes. Below are the crash logs, if anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated. I have only had one .DMG file mount correctly, and that was from something i downloaded in a torrent.
