urmajest Posted July 29, 2006 Share Posted July 29, 2006 Hi, I have a working 10.4.6. I want to move it to a bigger partition. The method I tried is using 'dd'. However, 'dd'ing indeed copies the size of the partition! I mean I 'dd'ed from the 8GB(with 2.1GB available space) partition to 35GB partition and the copied partition boots okay. However, the available space is still 2.1GB and I cannot install an application with 3.0GB space required. Can someone help with this? Will Acronis true image or Norton ghost work on this issue? alexs Posted July 30, 2006 Share Posted July 30, 2006 Acronis True Image with the proportional setting should work. You should also be able to use disk director suite to simply resize the partition. CC Cloner will also work--just make sure the new partition is formatted as type AF and set primary.
