FedeDump Posted August 2, 2010 Share Posted August 2, 2010 Hi! I'm totally new to Mac and it software. Today i've installed Snow Leopard 10.6.3 (iAtkos S3). It was a success, but i've no sound. I'm a 10+ years gnu/linux user and i like this kind of challenges, but i think, my sound card is winning by now. SCENARIO: The volume icon appears, but grey out. In prefs, everything is grey out, input and output says : "No device found" Update to 10.6.4, still the same. Reinstall, now i'm back to 10.6.3. What have i done? Like a Mac-noob, i search all over, download tons of AppleHDA, VoodooHDA, patchers, installer, fixers... and so on. I follow step-by-step guides, but everything fails (me probably).
