After trying almost every install method you can find on the internet I'm close to giving up. So if there anyone who can give me a boost please do so :)

I have this system for making a carputer on which I realy want to run OSX. Found a couple of succesfull installs of 10.5.2 with kalyway so you would guess it's possible with this configuration.

First tried it with 123-boot CD. This didn't work for me as I have an external USB DVD-drive. After booting with the cd it asked for the OSX install DVD. But after changing disks it can't find my dvd-drive anymore (just asks for HDD nr ie 80, 81, f9; tried all)

Then I tried Kalyway 10.6.0-10.6.2 from USB flash disk.

These are the steps I made:

  • formatted usb drive, guid, journaled.
  • copied iso to usb
  • installed chameleon RC2-640 with installer on disk. Although it gives an installation faillure it looks everything is allright)
  • boot from usb
  • install starts
  • partitioned hdd journaled. guid
  • did custom install with atom kernel 10.2.0 and efi 10.5

restart from hdd loads chameleon as expected.

  • Booting from HDD with option -v loads a lot of things and then the screen gets dark, nothing happens anymore
  • Booting with -v -x the same
  • Booting without -v; gray apple startup screen freezes
  • Booting with -v -x32 get kernel panic: kernel does not match cpu

Tried already a lot of different methods (also chameleon with retail disk on usb: kernel panic found one core should be 2), but the above mentioned brought me the most far.

Is there anyone how can help me?

Thanks,

Raymond
