matusa
Hi all! After reading this post, I decided to install Leopard in my Portege R200 using iPC 10.5.6 Universal.. Things I choose in the customize menu: Kernel - 9.5 VooDoo Video - Intel GMA900 Chipset - LegacyAppleIntelPIIXATA Audio - AC97 USB Drivers - Patched USB Drivers - PCCenUSBEHCI Power Management - AppleACPIBatteryManager - AppleACPIPowerSource - PowerManagement Package - VoodooPower - Clamshell Display Support Fixes and Patches - ACPI Fix - IOPCIFamily.kext patched - Seatbelt.kext 10.5.5 - USB Mount Fix PS/2 Device Support - PS/2 Keyboard Fix AppleSMBIOS Patch - AppleSMBIOS ToH And APPs... I've installed without the SMBIOS patch before, and have got sleep out of the box with that config, but had problems with About this Mac. Things that work out of the box> Video (QE enable) Sound USB mounting PS2 mouse and keyboard It recognize my fingerprint reader About this mac After install I've installed the Atheros 5005 driver, and worked like native. With the VooDooBattery.kext sorted out the battery meter problem. Bluetooth now working, used the toshiba bt kext, cant turn it off though... Things I need to get going... Sleep and reboot doesn't work, it hangs when is going to sleep and I get the Still waiting for root device message when I reboot,.. I think it has something to do with the shutdown sequence as I see "garbage' in the TOSHIBA first screen every time I reboot. Internal Bluetooth > Don't know why it isn't working, as it is a USB device and I thought the USB was working well.... Power Management, as I don't want the CPU to be @ 1.2Ghz all the time, also need a brightness control. Motion sensor? (In windows, it has and app for the hard drive with motion sensor...) Two finger scroll (I installed this earlier, worked, but it disable the trackpad tab in the Keyboard & Mouse section of the System Preferences, the pointer gets really slow and can't change that) And maybe update to 10.5.8... but first I want to get everything working. I'm writing all of this as a resource for the community, as there isn't much info about this computer here (found 1 post only) and is pretty cheap on ebay, making this a great "macbook air" hackintosh. (1.2 ULV, 12" Screen, 1.2GB DDR, SSD or 1.8" HDD, internal bluetooth, fingerprint reader, and very LIGHT and SLIM!) As I get things sorted I would be posting updates in this post, and would be great if someone knows how to get going the things that're left. Thanks!
