I've seen people mention using a second CD drive or burning everything onto a DVD, but no details.

Does it work? Where can I get details?

I get a faculty discount on XP, but only a multidisc install, and I would really like to find a way to use the cheap version since this is really just for fun.

Thanks,

Phillip

Hey Phillip,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are you talking about the Upgrade version of XP? That's the one that I tend to see the most discounts on in the education market. My suggestion would be to pickup an OEM version of XP Home from www.newegg.com ($87.99, I think)...

DH

It is a full version.

Edit:

I was wrong, it is the upgrade version. I guess I'll have to order something OEM. Bummer, I can't impulse buy stuff that I have to wait to get. I am only able to impulse buy if it is right there in front of me.

Thanks,

Phillip

I saw something a while ago that lets you use an upgrade cd and slipstream an older version of windows in it so you wouldnt need to use 2 disks. It was a while ago but if someone knows please post
