yogesh1981 Posted July 1, 2010 Share Posted July 1, 2010 Hello every body, I am completely new to mac and i own a dell vostro 1400 configuration processor core 2 duo processor t5670 @ 1.8ghz, 2GB (2 X 1024MB) 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM, intel chipset GM 965 express chipset family ,160GB SATA Hard, Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945 Dual Band 802.11a/g 54Mbps Wireless Mini Card , Intel® Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, sigma tel integrated sound card... please help me ...i need answer from you guys ..do i can install mac osx on my dell vostro 1400 ? if yes please specify the version and how? yogesh1981 Posted July 4, 2010 Author Share Posted July 4, 2010 every time i am loading to install from dvd it stucks at apple logo and it keeps remaining at the apple logo for more then 1/2 hour and in the end i have to completely shut down my pc directly to let it work again , i dont know what to do i already checked md5 the iso image is perfectly well and i write dvd at 4x so no option to be bad.... now please tell me what to do ? i am stuck at apple logo just after drawing x86 screen........... i am waiting for your reply to install mac osx on my system......... please check the power point file for details about my computer configuration...i copied all information as screen shoots from everest ultimate edition..my system works only on ata mode.....my bios is a9 from dell which is provided by phoniex....... Boot should be proceed from there. I am sure that should work for you (Unless you configured your boot options wrong). Or check my blog www.kandarp003.wordpress.com and follows the same procudure except package selection for your disto. Good Luck. The other thing is you picked a wrong distro for your laptop. I have same laptop and I believe iATKOS 10.5.5 works just great out of the box. All you need to install a wi-fi driver after the installation. After that you can update it to 10.5.7 running combo update. I can understand internet connections are still not that fast in india but, worth to download it.
