Hashem Amireh
I'm sure my PC is compatible with the copy of Mac OS X Snow Leopard since I installed it once on the same PC without VMware. My problem is after loading (darwin_snow.iso) I load the Mac OS X disc and press "c" and immediately press f8 and then type "-v" and enter. After that it starts loading but in the end it shows "Disabling the CPU..." and a window pops up saying: "The CPU has been disabled by the guest operating system. You will need to power off or reset the virtual machine at this point." PS. I used many guides but they all showed the same steps Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/222910-getting-cpu-error-on-workstation-7/ Share on other sites

maflynn
Did you edit the vmx file changing/adding guestOS = "darwin10-64" (snow leopard x64) ich7m.present = "TRUE" smc.present = "FALSE" keyboard.vusb.enable = "TRUE" mouse.vusb.enable = "TRUE" That fixed the cpu error for me. Well, I did what you told me and I got the following error "Mac OS X is not supported with software virtualization. To run Mac OS X you need a host on which VMware Workstation supports hardware virtualization."
