3kster
Basically, if you have Windows7 on one HDD and OS X Snow Leopard on another HDD, then decide which bootloader you want to use as the bootup manager, i.e. choose either EasyBCD 2.0 Beta (now Build 109)in Win7 or Chameleon 2.0 RC3 or RC4 etc. in OS X.........as you already have Win7 installed, I would suggest you use EasyBCD 2.0 Beta as your bootup boot manager (as I have done)..........install OS X and install Chameleon on OS X HDD (to boot Win7 using Chameleon, you may have to choose System Reserved icon rather than Win7 icon AFAIK but could be wrong.......and install EasyBCD Beta on Win7 and add OS X entry.......... Hi Verdant, I have an Asus 1215N, and similar as the thread starter, I would like to install OSX but want to keep my existing windows 7 and its restore files. Will the above method work? I have been following 1215N thread and it dwells mostly on having the disk reformatted and having a fresh OSX install. If this can work, any other things you would recommend that I do. Should I copy theHawks extra files (at 1215N thread)? Do I need to to use netbookinstaller as well? Currently I have the original windows 7, the restore drive, another partition which I'm allocating for QSX (logical drive) and another partition for my file storage (extended drive). sidenote, I also have a broadcom wifi card on my Asus 1215N Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/222694-dualbooting-windows-7-and-iatkos-s3/page/4/#findComment-1748467 Share on other sites
