Intel GMA950 Sony SZ problems ):

Hi all,

 

My sony laptop is the vaio vgn-sz433n/b.

 

Here are its specs:

 

This is the thing i get from the system profiling.

 

Type: Display
Bus: Built-in
VRAM(total): 64mb of System Shared Memory
Vendor: Intel(0x8086)
Device ID: 0x27a2
Revision ID: 0x0003
Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded

Displays:
 Resolution: 1024 x768 (correct) cuz i used the LCD extension in BIOS
 Depth: 32-bit colour
 Core image: Software
 Main Display: Yes
 Mirror: Off
 Online: Yes
 QE: not supported
 Q GL: supported

 

There is something wrong with this. Even keynote says that i do not have enough VRAM to run a powerpoint presentation(probably because i do not have support for 3D acceleration).

 

Can someone help me in enabling QE/CL support? I have searched endless times on this forum but they all result in the white screen fading to black after the spinning apple logo.

I have got audio and bluetooth working out of the box. I know the nvidia graphics do not work with VAIO displays, and the intel wifi driver is not out yet, and doesn't work.
