Ok. I bought the same card BorisBadenov used, the MSI RX1600PRO-TD256E 256MB PCI-e. The game starts up and I can login to the world but I can't see my character. It seems to be that I can't see at least half of the models in game, I can see the terrain but not other characters or monsters. I was wondering if anyone else has encountered such a problem or knows of a fix? I'm using 10.4.5 kexts as the 10.4.6 kexts gave me graphical tearing and artifacts. WoW version 1.11.2

Hoping for some good news,

Colin

P.S. Thanks in advance for any responses! UT2004 works. AOE2 works. UT works. blah. why not WoW?! :-P

WoW works fine for me on my hackintosh. Not as fast as on my wife's iMac or on the same machine under windows, though.

My specs are.

Asus mobo with 915 chipset

16x pci-e slot running @ 4x speed (sucks!)

P4 HT 3.2 GHz @ 800 bus w/ 2mb cache

Powercolor X1600Pro 256mb using 10.4.5 kexts, the newer package messes stuff up

2GB DDR Ram

About 700GB of sata disk space

Onboard lan and audio work fine.

Dang it! I'm using the 10.4.5 kexts under 10.4.6. Maybe I messed up the kexts somehow? Is there a package I should dl? I mean... other games work perfectly. WoW launches and I login but I can't see any players or monsters. Wtf. so odd.

Is it _just_ the ATINDRV kext from 10.4.5 or all the other ATIRadeonX1000 kexts from 10.4.5 too

Basically my question is: are you all using 10.4.6 kexts with the exception of ATINDRV?

Anyone else have any ideas? What is this Neophus package I hear of? Thanks for your input!

I tried the neophus package and still no go.

my CPU is an AMD64 3700+ San Diego clocked at 2.66ghz

it is so bizarre that all these other games work, just not WoW. I'll try Quake 4 native and see what happens with that.

P.S. The neophus package did speed up my boot-time, great work guys!

I'm having a similar problem as you Colin, just with other games (Civilization 4 and CC Generals).

I'm using Neo's installer and am using a Gigbyte X1600PRO 256MB card.

I do hope to fix this issue soon! Good thing I'm not the only one.

Cheers,

Adam
