headie
Hello everyone, There´s a problem on my Hackintosh, it seems the System doesn´t identify the CPU as the correct one. System Profiler detected a CPU with 4 cores and the Activitydisplay says 4 Cores too, but only one Core is used. Geekbench and CPU-X show only one Core. As a result for instance "Learn Instruments" from Garageband 09 doesn´t operate. My Hardware: MSI P35 Neo2 Q6600 8800 GTX I installed the Hackintosh with a Empire EFI BootCD und a Retail 10.6.3 DVD. The only KEXTS i use are fakeSMC and NVEnabler64. A DSDT or SMBIOS isn´t used by me. The System runs great, but i want to use my three other Cores Greetings Headie

headie
No i don´t use the command cpus=1. I have solved the Problem now. My fault was, i have copied the preboot.dmg file from the Empire EFI CD to the EXTRA folder too. After deleting that file, the 64bit Kernel started and everything was indentified correctly Thanks for your Idea, the Thread can now be closed. Before my Geekbench result was about 2500 points, now i have about 5000 Greetings Headie
