hey all,

Firstly I would like to say if this is in the wrong section im sorry, but this is the forum most applicable to my problem i think.

I have a toshiba a300/c01 with the following specs:

Satellite A300 C01

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 @ 2.24GHz

Video: ATI – HD 3650 512mb

Memory: 4gb DDR2

BIOS: Insyde H20 Version 1.9

WIFI: Intel wifi Link 5100 AGN

Chipset: Mobile Intel PM45 Express Chipset with 82801IBM I/O Controller Hub (ICH9M) i.e PM45 ICH9M

I have created a bootable usb flash drive using a guide from lifehacker but the problem is when i run it I goes to a kernel panic screen. Is this a hardware error or am i doing something wrong? Either way what can I do to fix this issue?

here is the guide i used: http://lifehacker.com/5360150/install-snow...acking-required

also worth mentioning that i am currently running windows 7 and wish to dual boot.

Thanks in advance,

Mick

hello

i have the same kernel panic error message. Have u discovered any solution for this?

we managed to pass thru this by putting on boot this: -x -v

By putting -x -f -v we have another kernel panic as I put it on attachment.
