kday
Like to pirate music, but find it too much work searching for songs you like? Wouldn't you rather have music you like come to you? With StreamRipperX, you can take your favorite online radio station, and record the songs it plays to mp3's. StreamRipperX names the songs for you based on the ID3 tags provided by the online radio station. Unfortunately, I don't think StreamRipperX supports capturing audio from multiple streams at the same time, but I found a workaround. Just make a copy of the StreamRipper application, and you will be able to run multiple instances at once! http://streamripperx.sourceforge.net/ (Universal version not avaiable, but PPC version works fine) There is a program that supports recording multiple streams at once, but it is shareware and costs $15 to purchase. Unfortunately, the shareware version only allows you 30 minutes of recording time per session. This program is also Universal. http://www.bitcartel.com/download.html edit: I went ahead and compiled an Intel x86 only version of StreamRipperX. Cheers. MrInsanity
If possible, can you give instructions on how to build streamripperx. I have a computer science degree (from 1991) but am not a programmer, having chosen another profession. However, for hobby sakes, I'd like to modify some of the code, but first I must 'build' the original. Any help appreciated.
