using verbose mode i saw that there is a long pause during boot (7 secs) after:

com_chucko_realtekR1000 : ethernet adress xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx

i tryed to powerdown DSL modem (ETH on this integrated Realtek RTL8111DL)

but the pause is still present

any suggestion? eventually there is a way to delete some network protocols (i've only 1 PC, and only connected to DSL router) to speed up this .. "long check"?

Thx!

Hi, did you do a search?

On this same page you can find a similar problem, it might help you, BTW 7secs? thats fast mine pauses for 60sec!

7 seconds of pause after "com_chucko_realtekR1000 : ethernet adress xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx", not entire boot :)

well . i tryed to update realtek drivers using ufficial-realtek installer... ( RTGNICv2.0.4.pkg )

after this..... system boot very fast.. no pauses (and ethernet works) , total boot time: 27 Secs from Chameleon selection

But on 2nd reboot.. a very long VoodooHDA warnings-list was appeared...

and boot time is now.. 75 secs !!! :( (audio Works)

now. i'm going to remove VoodoHDA... (i'm not using it)

[EDIT]

now boot is still "pausing" after com_chucko_realtekR1000 : ethernet adress xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx message...

now i think that pause is not related to Ethernet...

[EDIT2]

applying NullCPUPower-kext.. boot time lowered to 38 Secs (verbose mode)

THX lo-fi !

[EDIT3]

i've removed the Realtek R1000 kext .. and now my boot is 31 Secs(from Chameleon OS selection) .. and Network... WORKS (???)
