Despite all other opengl applications (shake, quake3, etc) working fine, and having no problem with any other app thrown at my hackintosh, the C4D demo available from the maxon site gives weirdo problems. (The 9.6 demo which is seen as a universal binary by osx). Im referring to C4D and not cinebench.

Using an OpenGL viewport is a no goer (only software viewport works), and the mouse seems to not work well at all in it (pressing left button seems to get it stuck).

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.. and if its a problem my hackintoshes or with Maxons first C4D universal binary. I was actually looking at buying the C4D academic release (which I did for shake 4.1).

I guess not many people have tried. If someone has free time, could you please go to maxon's website (maxon.net), download the free Cinema 4D demo for OSX (restricted to not being able to save), and let me know if it works on a hackintosh. Thanks

Hello!

I tested the C4D demo out and I have a nvidia card g4 dvi out into my 23" apple display.

In opengl mode it crashes... No support for opengl with nvida cards yet. in software mode it works fine.

Renders and stuff.. Only tested it for 10 min... I'll make another post if I find any mjor bugs in the demo.

If I get a ati 1600 will I have opengl support?
