drule
I have OSX 10.57 running on a Gateway desktop system that uses an Intel D945GCZ motherboard. The BIOS on this system hasn't been updated since its purchase 3 years ago, so I figure it is due for an update before I try SL. I also want to update it because I hope it will enable me to use my Apple Aluminum keyboard during boot-up. However since the BIOS seems to have version number that are Gateway specific and don't match up to the updated versions on the Intel site. BIOS Version GATEWA - 53BIOS Date 11/29/05 BIOS Vendor Intel Corp. Version NT94510J.15A.0083.2005.1129.1937 What i'd like to know, is whether it is safe to simply flash the latest version from Intel, or am I restricted to whatever the latest version that Gateway has on its site (latest is from June06)? Thanks for your help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/215700-help-me-before-i-do-a-bios-update/ Share on other sites
