rudd
Hi, Everybody has anyone already tried to install Leopard on this motherboard (Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3LR )? I found this guide: has anyone already tried such guide? In your opinion is a good idea or do you suggest me other motherboards? My aim is to build a new hackintosh with trial boot: windows 7, snow leopard and linux debian. Thanks! I found this guide: has anyone already tried such guide? In your opinion is a good idea or do you suggest me other motherboards? My aim is to build a new hackintosh with trial boot: windows 7, snow leopard and linux debian. Thanks! Try this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=195248 One of the bigger guides I've seen. I haven't used it, but I do have the boot disc for backup purposes from this guide. If you haven't already bought your board try this one: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=187440 This is the one I used. It's excellent. You don't need exact specs as they show (see my sig) I had absolutely no problems. I mean 0, none whatsoever. The only thing is, you need a real Mac or an existing OS X installation somewhere to do it. This one is a rather new method, but it's very interesting if you know how to flash your BIOS. It's one of the most exciting things that's happened in the Hackintosh community in a while and it makes your install even more vanilla then it already is. They did a story about it on the front page of this website. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=210994 EDIT: BTW, these are all Snow Leopard installs, not Leopard. But you should go for Snow Leopard because it's easy and vanilla. mojoman
Yes, Yesterday i installed. My System: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3LR Intel Core2Duo E6850 Corsair 4x2GB 800Mhz DDR2 Ram MSI Nvidia 8800GTS 640Mb Installation is very easy. Download leohazard version of Mac Osx (10.6.1 - 10.6.2) Download Kakewalk 2.1 and Download KakewalkBoot burn to cd. Boot from leohazard cd. Install without any extras. After Installation, remove your mac osx cd and insert your kakewalk cd. Boot from your kakewalk cd. Select your mac drive and press enter, your system will be open. Second important job is, install kakewalkboot. Select your Mainboard model and press install button. Restart system again, you cant see sound device. Solution: Go to System/Library/Extensions Delete AppleHDA.kext Install two kext from in my attachments. Restart it again... Thats it. You have full working without kernel panic Mac osX 10.6.0 After this installation i've tried to install updates. I coundt make it. Every time my system crashed.
