natgab
I have a working Snow Leopard Hack since January and have not had a single problem. But I have not been able to get my Macromedia Studio MX 2004 to work in Snow Leopard. ( I'm using it on my G3 iMac) My system works great with MS Office 2004, GraphicConverter and my iLife 05, all PPC applications, but its a student edition, so it won't let me upgrade to a newer version. Does it work in Intel Leopard, I can also try making a partition and add Leopard to my computer ? I saw the working apps thread and those seem to say it worked with Leopard. Or would I need to get the next newest version ? I tried reinstalling Studio MX 2004, and have also tried loading it from 10.6.0 before upgrades and no luck. A note in case someone did not know, I dragged & dropped (NOT HD clone) my home folder & applications folder to my media HD to back up before trying the installs. But when I reinstalled 10.6 on my Hack, I was able to drag & drop back my home folder AND applications and have them work. Even large ones like MS Office. Just wanted to share, for others that might not know. Paid apps are still PPC but free Intel apps like iTunes & Firefox also worked. SOLUTION:Luckily my friend had Macromedia Studio 8, the one that came out after mine. It loaded and worked perfect on my Snow Leopard Hackintosh. I was able to install Dreamweaver, Fireworks & Flash. Since it worked, I bought the old edition from him. He is more of a Photoshop guy anyways and had moved on to an older version of Adobe Suite. So at least for those others that need a cheap Dreamweaver that works on a SL Hackintosh, Macromedia Stuite 8 should be the cheapest alternative out there. Synaesthesia
I don't know about Studio MX 2004 but Freehand MX 2004 works just fine under Rosetta. Don't just drag and drop the Apps though - run the installer. Freehand is the one component I have not installed, since I don't draw well. I just edit pictures I scan. I didn't drag & drop when I tried to make sure they worked. I have Studio, so I have to install them one at a time its kind of a low tech installer. Not like the new ones were you check off what components you want.
