jb044
hi there, I have big problems with getting SL to properly recognize my nVidia 8800GT (G92, 512MB) graphics card. No matter what I try, if it works I always get a colored screen (different colors every time) and nothing else I tried Chameleon RC4 with GraphicsEnabler, EFI string inject in apple.com.Boot.plist, NVInject/Enabler/Darwin, but most of the time my hardware is recognized but I always get the bright colored screen. So I read 10.6.2 can have problems with either HDMI->HDMI or DVI->HDMI and HDCP, the solution apparently is to replace NVDANV50 and NVDAResman with the ones from 10.6.1. So I tried that, but no luck After that I finally () unplugged my LCD TV, this time I got the same old coloured screen, but this time with a messed up " Please restart your computer" dialog. The only thing I can think of is that my LCD monitor also supports HDCP over DVI. Anybody know of other things I could try? So here it goes: Snow Leopard 10.6.2 (Hazard) MSI P55-GD85 4GB Ram 2x 8800GT 512 G92, same problem with single card though Intel Core i7 860 Vanilla kernel BTW Leopard 10.5.8 (iDeneb) works just fine with the 9.8.0 Xoops kernel and NDarwin injector Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/213622-nvidia-8800gt-graphics-on-sl-on-a-msi-p55-gd85-mb/ Share on other sites
