guod Posted March 10, 2010 Share Posted March 10, 2010 i have a dell usb keyboard and am trying to swap the control and windows keys by using the keyboard modifier settings. the settings worked until updating to 10.6.2. The settings show that the keys are swapped, but in reality, they are not. i have even brought up an on screen keyboard it confirms that the keys are not swapping. i then tried my dell bluetooth keyboard and have had the same result...anyone know why the settings will not change? I have HP DV5 laptop with snow leopard 10.6.2 and usb wireless microsoft mouse (i found that problem with usb mouse). Now plug out your any usb connection including your usb mouse and go to system preferences then go to keyboard --------- modifier keys press restore defaults then change it to what you want to make it. here you go! Note: I have retail Snow leopard.
