guod
I have a 10.6.2 retail install and cannot get my keyboard modifiers to work. I have gone to system prefs, keyboard and modifier keys and switched the command key (windows key) with the control key. It shows that it saves the settings, but it does not really swap anything. I still have to use the windows or command key to do things like copy, paste, etc. I also have pulled up the on screen keyboard and that confirms that nothing has been switched becuase it shows what keys ill hit. anyone ever experience this? It is just a standard dell usb keyboard and I THINK before i updated to 10.6.2 it worked. I know it worked 100% after i did the install, but cant remember if upgrading to 10.6.2 or doing a time machine restore was what stopped it from working. thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/212379-keyboard-modifiers/ Share on other sites

keane_2006b
I found a solution it worked for me. I have HP DV5 laptop with snow leopard 10.6.2 and usb wireless microsoft mouse (i found that problem with usb mouse). Now plug out your any usb connection including your usb mouse and go to system preferences then go to keyboard --------- modifier keys press restore defaults then change it to what you want to make it. here you go! Note: I have retail Snow leopard. I paid for it but not installed Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/212379-keyboard-modifiers/#findComment-1464607 Share on other sites
