countofsorrow
Anyone have it working with CI/QE? I tried NDarwin 1.2.5, NVEnable 64, NVInject, Natit, aquamac's NVIDIA 9000 Series Driver v2 to no avail. I'm ready to do some tests if anyone has ideas. Edit: Here's the procedure on how to make it work Download this tool and lunch it. Install AsereBLN's Chameleon RC4 under the Chameleon tree, then NVEnabler under Graphics tree and finally under extra install tonymacx86 Theme. reboot. enjoy. no EFI strings needed Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/211331-solvednvidia-geforce-9600m-gs/ Share on other sites

pauloos
Are you using snow leopard? do you have any other kext installed? Yes I am, tnx..........I've been messing around with some kext's will try a fresh Leopard install in comb. with ##### like you described......will let you know what happens......tnx for answering! I have a 9600M GS 256MB gr.card in my laptop (dev.id. 0648) O.K. after installing Leopard and ##### (like you described, with in addition -> disk utilities, which is mandatory no!?) My screen turn black after Apple logo screen and moving circle.......damn! Booting with -v or -s option doesn't help much either, nvenabler is mentioned in the bootinfo and refers to info about my gr.card which seem correct but ends with NVEnabler ::probe fails Could it be that NVEnabler selects the wrong PCIe port? Any ideas!? tnx I'm not using Leopard retail, but SnowOSXInstall Universal v3.6 (compiled by dan1234) version 10.6.2 (could this be the problem?) countofsorrow
I installed snow leopard using hazard's snow leopard. When installing I used the customize button and installed the 10.6.2 patch combo with some other options I don't remember but it shouldn't matter. I had to delete a kext that was reserved to mac pro computer and made my computer crash when I booted in normal mode but besides that I only installed the bootloader + theme and the NVEnabler. What is your laptop model? Because my GeForce 9600M GS is 512 mb and up to 1G using my laptop's ram. Edit: Is your snow leopard version 10.6.2? My laptop is a Medion P6612 with 9600M GS 256MB tnx for your help so far.......
