omnidecay
Here are the outputs from VoodooMonitor(tjmax set to 100c)...If you look at the picture of P-States, everything is descending from core1 of my cpu. The status picture shows everything normal but if you look at the temp it is also descending. I have been all over trying to figure this out (am googled out). My cpu2-3 temps are good but I want to be able to bring down 0-1. I have a feeling it has to do with my DSDT (but I don't completely know) and needing to set that up but I couldn't find a good jumping off point. Intel C2Q Q6600 (w/not stock heatsink) Ga-EP45-UD3P 8 gb DDR2 800 SL 10.6.2 I have the smc2.5.kext along with the voodoopowermini.kext. I installed SL using kakewalk and the usb method (which worked very well). The only real issue I have had is first my cpu running WAY too hot (voodoopower fixed that) and then now this weird core issue. Any help would be wonderful as I render a lot and am either having to downclock or cook part of my CPU. Sorry if I left out needed info. I haven't slept yet and its like 6am. Thanks! omnidecay
Check out my DSDT, probably got what you need to fix it. You will need to fix it for your CPU. Thanks for this! I tried messing around with yours and mine last night following this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=181631 I was also able to extract my own DSDT using DSDTSE. However I got kind of lost when trying to follow that guide. Its not a complete walkthrough so I still don't understand how to apply my CPU to your DSDT file. I was able to set my correct number of p-states but filling in the information for Scope _PR.CPU1 down to CPU3 confused me (where is the CPU0._PSS and _PSD?). I attached my DSDT and log file incase anyone wants to take a look and see whats going on...Another weird thing, my VID numbers inside pstatechanger changed from yesturday to today. Normal?
