kcrim
ok I try installing it again. with custimized install and it freezees on me @ the apple logo screen. the little wheel turns for about a minute then stops. I tried it a third time with Nvinject and NVKush all kernels and the AppleNForceATA chipset options intalled (they were under the cuztomize button). the the wheel under the apple logo just spins I left it for about 20 min. and never moved from that spot. any ideas? muchlife
dont install any video drivers, your video should work enough on default VESA drivers to see what your doing. to rule out potential problems that can be solved later, its good practice to test installs without graphics drivers. also i would skip audio drivers unti you figure you exactly what audio chipset you have. i looked up and specfications on multiple sites just say "8 channel high definition" for your board so that doesnt help much. i think your board might have ALC888 so if you get a successfull install, perhaps go back and install the audio kext for kernels your intel core 2 duo is very compatible, perhaps try 9.5.0 kernel, chipset try Old NForce (nforce test if that doesnt work), for AppleSMBIOS i would try the SMBIOS 800 to match your 800Mhz ram. im not familiar with ideneb so i can't offer much more suggestions than that. if you try iPC 10.5.6 let me know i could walk you through an install with each option to choose Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/209904-ideneb-v13-1055-wont-boot-after-install/#findComment-1403797 Share on other sites

I tried with -v samething happened, got about 5 seconds of it trying to load and it reboots. as for the sound im not using my onboard sound I actually have my sound thru usb sound system. the highest kernel iDeneb 10.505 offers is 9.4.0 I just re-installed samething happeneded i used AppleNforceATAtest chipset. 9.4.0 kernel. SMBIOS 800. When i booot with maxmem=2048 cpus=1 flags I get the apple logo and the spining wheel. when i boot with no flags I just get the apple logo Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/209904-ideneb-v13-1055-wont-boot-after-install/#findComment-1403893 Share on other sites

muchlife
in iPC 10.5.6 and other installers, be sure you check the nForce driver when select chipset. when you boot with -v it should list msgs during boot, and when it stops and freezes, you can usually look at the last 4-5 lines of msg code to find what OSX booting is having problems with the only way i ever had success installing on nforce chipset was to get the kernel and chipset right during install. what kernel options do you have to choose from? what chipset options do you have? in bios, also make sure HPET and XD (execute disable) are enabled Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/209904-ideneb-v13-1055-wont-boot-after-install/#findComment-1594119 Share on other sites
