mrsoft Posted January 31, 2010 Share Posted January 31, 2010 Hi trying to install Iaktos v7 on my dell inspiron 545 MT. It installs ok, but when it reboots im always stuck on the apple icon screen. The loading icon comes up and rotates once then freezes. Ive tried a few variations and sometimes the roatating icon rotates then comes up with the stop sign or it doesent come up at all. Most recently ive tried it rotates the once and stops, have tried -v and it seems to be stoppping on the rtk ethernet hardware not found command. has anyone had any experiences with the dell inspiron 545 Mt? or have a list of which settings should be checked? At witts end with it and just about ready to throw it out the window haha any help at all is greatly appreciated! mrsoft Posted January 31, 2010 Author Share Posted January 31, 2010 with a bit of tweaking i got past this part, now the boot is stopping on the FireWire unable to determine security-mode; defaulting to full-secure. then saying still waiting for root device. anyone any ideas?
