coolcatco888 Posted January 23, 2010 Share Posted January 23, 2010 Hi, I have an osx installer DVD that can boot on my Pentium 4 and install osx on my hfs+ partition. I cannot get the os to boot from my harddrive no matter what I try. I feel I am close but the installer DVD manages to boot everytime without any problems. I was able to deduce from the black and white boot messages that it uses the Voodoo Kernel and I was also able to find out what kext I should use for my ATA chipset. My question is since the installer is able to boot, is there any way of finding out what kexts the installer loads in order to boot? If you got it to work please post your specs, distro (iPC, Kalway etc.) and the exact kexts/configurations you used to install. I just want to know what I am missing.
