ProjectPink
hey, so i'm a bit new to this whole scene. just learned about it recently when i decided i hate vista 64 bit and wanted to bail for a mac, but i'm far too poor at the time being. i was wondering whats the easiest way to find out if my gateway comp is ready for a snow leopard install? i found the components list on the wiki but i don't think any single part of my cpu was on it, and i know that also those are incomplete lists, and there is more hardware out there available. i'll post my stats here and hopefully i can get some help. also if i've posted this improperlly please let me know. like i said i'm new. heres the stats company: Gateway Processor: AMD Phenom Quad-core 2.20 mhz Ram: 6.00 GB(gunna try and find out more and edit it in here soon) Display: ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics and ATI radeon HD 3450 Audio: ATI HDMI Hardrive: 580 GB and 15 GB recovery (gunna try to find more and edit it in here also) DVD Player: all i know is it's a DVD RW plays or burns dvd's and cd's Operating System: Windows Vista if i'm close but just need to replace a few things let me know, i guess the main concern here is will my motherboard work. if it works it would only be minor swaps i would have to make.
