Hello,

I have an Amilo m3438g, and I'm trying to get working the internal keyboard and trackpad trhough PS2 on 10.6.2 (and 10.6).

If I install AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext and ApplePS2Controller.kext from SL_PS2_HDA, into S/L/E with kext utility, I can get working the trackpad and keyboard perfectly.

But If I restart, I receive a kernel panic, "FPU segment overrun..." with some info related to ApplePS2Controller(1.1.0)

If I remove the AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext and ApplePS2Controller.kext previously installed, I can start, but obviously, the trackpad and keyboard does not work. I've tried to install manually (from terminal) and I have the same result. I've tried another PS2 drivers, but the same...

Any Idea?

Thanks!

Maybe the ps2 kexts you're using aren't designed for the kernel (i.e. 64 bit vs 32 bit)? I'm just guessing here.

mmmm I don't think so, because the keyboard and trackpad work when I install to System/Library/Extensions (with external USB mouse & keyb)

If I reboot, I get the kernel panic and I need to remove the kexts in order to be able to start the operative system

where can i find different ps2 kexts compatible with 10.6 32bits?

thanks

if it is ALPS (v10.115) see my post:Link

mmm I don't know if it's ALPS, but I think that I have a different problem. I'm not using a DSDT file...

My keyb and touchpad works perfectly just after installing the PS2 kext, but then, I get a pernel panic in the next boot, being forced to remove the kext in orther to be able to boot...

thanks
