Hi, I am new to OS X installation. I have been looking throughout the forum about installation but most of it seem irrelevant with my hardware. Anyways here's what I m trying to do, downloaded grub-dfe.ISO burnt it to a CD. Successufully came up with Darwin Boot. Eject Boot disc and insert Snow Retail DVD. Default booted with DVD drive. Press F8 for advance options i-e -v or -f etc or boot it directly -> I tried both methods.

And it stucks either at,

Loading HFS+ file: [Mach_kernel] from 422fb00

OR

Loading HFS+ file: [Mach_kernel] from 4230300

I wait for 4-5 minutes and nothing happens.

Here's my Hardware configuration

Current OS Windows 7 Ultimate

CPU Intel C2D E6320

2 GB DDR2

Mother board Intel DQ965GF (Latest BIOS)

Gfx on board

HD 160 GB SATA MAXTOR (Tried both as AHCI and IDE)

Optical Drives

1. Lite-ON DVDRW SHW-160p6s ATA Device

2. TSSTcorp DVD.ROM SH-D162C ATA device

AUDIO = HD audio on board.

Ethernet

1. Onboard Disabled

2. 3com Etherlink 10/100 PCI 3C905C-TX

I wanna know if there's something I should change from the BIOS.

or if I need to switch some of my hardware.

Please Let me know if it is possible to install Retail OS X SL. on my current configration. :)

please move the topics to proper section, If posted in the wrong section. Thanks in advance :)
