Hello,

Does anyone know how to get my pci-e ati x1550 (Dev ID 7147) reach a higher resolution than 1024x768 and also enable QE/CI?

I have tried with all the natit and atiradeonx1000, but no changes. Actually the atiradeonx1000 causes a kernel panic when i hardcode the device id. when the original atiradeonx1000.kext from the install is left, it does boot up, but without detecting the card model. I believe it does not load this driver at all and uses the generic FB.

The natitx1300 loads, but can not change screen resolution, and graphic response is choppy and slow. On the system profiler I have this (when the natitx1300 loads):

Radeon X1300 Series:

Chipset Model: Radeon X1300 Series

Type: GPU

Bus: PCIe

PCIe Lane Width: x16

VRAM (Total): 256 MB

Vendor: ATI (0x1002)

Device ID: 0x7147

Revision ID: 0x0000

Displays:

Display:

Resolution: 1024 x 768

Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888)

Main Display: Yes

Mirror: Off

Online: Yes

Display Connector:

Thank you,

K

Now I can get to use any resolution /refresh freq. Loaded kexts are:

65 0 0x34be2000 0x2b000 0x2a000 com.apple.kext.ATISupport (6.0.6) <64 14 13 7 5 4 3 1>

82 0 0x34dba000 0x35000 0x34000 com.apple.kext.ATY_Caretta (5.3.0) <81 64 14 13 5 4 3 1>

Is there any way to get quartzextreme/coreimage to work???
