I've successfully installed OS X on a Dell Mini, but that was as easy as installing Windows on it. I've built a desktop and haven't gotten far on making it work yet. I've tried 10.5 versions of Kalyway, iAtkos, and iDeneb, and iDeneb is the only one I've actually gotten to the install screen. I've even tried 10.4 JaS and couldn't get it to install. It let me install the OS in about 15-20 minutes, but on reboot the computer just tries to boot into Windows. I don't know exactly what commands need to be used but I don't get why iAtkos and Kalyway spin up and restart my computer.

My specs are:

9800GTX+ 512mb

4GB DDR2 800

XFX 680i SLi motherboard

Pioneer drive

500GB SATA Seagate HDD (Windows)

WD Passport 320GB (Mac OS X)

I've looked at many tutorials that talk about the 9800GTX but they talk about a system that is already running and all you have to do is install kexts. I have a friend that has a copy of a full version of Snow Leopard and I can use that if anybody thinks it will work.

Any tips guys and gals? I hit a wall and don't know where to go from here.

So this week I've tried to install 2 older versions of iDeneb, they both give me "The source media you are installing from is damaged" I even let it verify the disk before letting it install. Will any flags help this or is it just my computer? Do I need to unplug my internal harddrive if I'm trying to install to an external usb drive? Any help?
