nick93
I have bought a Packard Bell dot.s last week and I was trying to install Mac OSX. I thought well lets install Snow Leopard. So I've downloaded the Snow Leopard iso and I suppose it's the 10.6.2 retail version, but I'm not sure about that. The reason I think it's the 10.6.2 version is that when I tried to boot the installation from a external harddisk firstly I had a kernel panic, which told me my CPU wasn't supported and that's not really surprising since it's an Intel Atom CPU, which has been banned by Apple since version 10.6.2. Secondly I've tried to replace the mach_kernel file with one I've found on the internet, this one: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...197020&st=0, to be specific. I've tried to boot off my external harddisk again, and the first problem was solved, but I've got myself a new one. I had a kernel panic, with the warning that I was having a kernel mis-match. Some further information: * I have used the NetbookBootMaker to make the harddisk bootable * I have used iAtkos v1.5(I guess) 10.5.5 on another pc to restore the ISO image to the disk * The Packard Bell Dot.s is identical to the Acer Aspire One D250 I hope this explanation has been good enough to give me some suggestions how to solve my problem. nick93
Problem solved! I tried to restore the .iso image again and strangely my problems were solved. So I've got Snow Leopard running just fine, I only have to find some hardware solutions.
