Hi

I have a Acer Aspire 4736Z, and the only thing that is holding me back is the stupid 4500M in it.

I have tried to get it working with this guide (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=130273) but After the process when I reboot It does give me 1366x768, but the back light doesn't turn on so I'm unable to see anything without shining a flashlight at the LCD.

Anyways Thanks in advance and any help i appreciated.

Hi , I also has a frustrating GMA 4500M . how did you manage to get the native resolution ?

Maybe I could test your solution and find what's the problem !

The link you gave becomes a dead one!

Hi and thanks for your reply skyilu!

Anyways all I did was install a modified kext file of a X3100 GPU, but all I get is a screen with no backlight BUT get a native resolution, Which seems very odd.

Also I attached the kext file that I have used.

Anyways I'll wait to hear back from you.
