MAC2DEL Posted December 31, 2009 Share Posted December 31, 2009 Have installed SL on one partition. Used HazardX patched ISO from PB. System has a running Leopard (iPC 10.5.6) on one partition and Windows 7 on another partition. Using EasyBCD to dual boot Win 7 and Leopard. SL install says successful install. Booting from the hard drive after install I get two prompts Leopard (same as after the Leopard install) and Win 7. Upon using Leopard and then pressing F8 I take option to boot from the Snow Leopard Partition. When I do this I get the following message Loading Darwin x/86 Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 4230450 Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 4230450 and it just stops here. Nothing happens at all. I have noticed the following commands during the installation that might or might not be causing the problem. I will highlight these here a. Bootstrap register ......service name already exists b. BSR Root : Disk1s2, major14, minor 8 Jettisoning Kernel Linker Localhost kextd[47] - cant add repository (not a directory)..... c. CoreRAID Server [43] - 18947 not responding mDNSresponder[48] - warning sandbox init........ localhost diskarbitrationd [44] - unable to mount /dev/disk0s7..... localhost diskarbitrationd [44] - unable to mount /dev/disk0s8 ..... localhost diskarbitrationd [44] - unable to mount /dev/disk0s7..... localhost diskarbitrationd [44] - unable to mount /dev/disk0s8..... Can someone please help me and let me know where and what needs to be corrected. OTHER KEY ASPECTS The partition I am trying to install SL on is being shown as active in fdisk and is being shown as partioned as HFSJ. System: - HP Presario V6000 V6425TU laptop - Mobo HP GS072PA#ACJ - Chipset : North Bridge: Mobile Intel Calistoga-GML i940GML/i943GML South Bridge: Intel 82801GBM ICH7-M - CPU Mobile DualCore Intel Pentium T2080, 1733 MHz (13 x 133) - IA SSE 3 / IA SSE 2 / IA SSE / IA MMX Supported - Display Chip Type Intel® GMA 950 (Device Description Mobile Intel® 945 Express Chipset Family) - Intel® 82801GBM/GHM (ICH7-M Family) Serial ATA Storage Controller - 27C4 Please help. MAC2DEL Posted January 1, 2010 Author Share Posted January 1, 2010 I tried yet another install yestarday night. This time with ISO patched with 3rd patch. The result was still the same. Install was a success but on booting its exactly the same problem as above. I have taken a snap of the verbose mode install. Please help. I am getting frustated in not being able to install the SL. I get stuck at the white grey installation screen after the apple logo screen. Any ideas on this or on the earlier method using the hazardX method where I get the following message Loading Darwin x/86 Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 4230450 Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 4230450 and it just stops here. Nothing happens at all. Please please help. Why cant I have SL!!!??? THere ought to be nice guys out there to help me out. I have attached the pic of install messages using the hazardx way. Maybe this helps in suggesting a solution.
