Hello! , this is my first topic at insanelymac.

After browsing around and looking for solutions to successfully install any version of mac on my pc.. without being successfull , i turn to the insanelymac forum

First off, i have tried to install alot of different versions of mac (iatkos v7, iatkos.5i.10.5.5 for intel, Mac OS X Patched for PC 10.6.0) .. with iatkos v7 and iatkos.5i i get the same problem every time :

after downloading the iatkos i use nero burning rom to burn them at a very low speed as instructed in the most installation guides. after that i pop the dvd into my reader and restart the computer and this is what happens. the darwin boot screen shows up and i press F8 so i can type -v and hit enter, then some text shows up for about 1 second and the computer reboots :S

okay, and this is what happens with the Mac OS X Patched for PC DVD. the darwin boot screen shows up and i press F8, alot of text shows up for a long time (about 5 minutes) but then the text freezes and nothing happens, i even tried to leave the computer for 2 hours but nothing happened :P

things i have tried:

to start darwin with different flags (cpus=1, cpus=2 -v -x and ALOT more ).

testing the dvd's on other computers with SUCESSFULL results in installation AND booting the Mac osx. burning the dvd's with different speeds. And trying to install different versions of the iatkos as mentioned above.

here is my PC Build:

Processor: Inter Core 2 Duo 2.8Ghz (instructions SSE1, SSE2, SSE3, 3S, 4.1, EM64T, MMX)

Motherboard: ASUS P5QL

RAM: 4gb (two sticks)

HDD: Samsung 1TB 32mb cache 7200rpm SATA, and one samsung 250gb 32mb cache 7200rpm (the last one is the hdd that i want to install mac on )

VGA: Ati Radeon HD 4850

what i want to know : is there a way to install mac on my computer (solve these problems)?. Does anyone know what i need to do to make it work? . Does someone know at better version of mac that i havent tried?.

I hope someone can help me! xD

Thanks in advance, and have a nice day! =)

EDIT: im going to try an installation guide with a different mac osx , its called iPC osx86 10.5.6

and the guide can bbe found here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=137296

it seems to work for those who are using ASUS P5Q L mobo (even supports the whole P5Q series)

i will let you know if it worked as soon as i have tried it ^^

(Ps, im sorry for my bad english)

EDIT 2 (27/12-09):

Okay, i tried the guide but... it didnt work. But this time at least i know why, its because my dvd drive is an IDE drive and not SATA wich is required to install iPC osx86 10.5.6. it says in the guide that iPC should be able to install it anyway (with a IDE drive) but that does not seem to work.

anyone know a solution to this or am i going to need to buy a sata drive ;p ?

EDIT 3 : (28/12-09)

Im just gonna continue to write what im doing incase someone has the same problem as I do..

Today im going to try and install iPC as mentioned above in my last edit, with a brand new sata dvd =D that i borrowed from work, hope this works. And if it doesent.. im gonna give up , or maybe try to install with a USB flash drive.

Does someone know a program that can extract iso files to an usb flash drive? or some software that copies the content of the iso file to a different location, because i cant seem to do it manually (alot of files does not show up on the iPC iso while mounted) just incase the sata dvd plan fails
