Hello I've been searching for a fix to my webcam issues with no success. I have a dell 1525 and 1545 , both computers are running snow leopard 10.6

 

I can't get the webcam to work. I launch photo booth and get a black screen. My blue light indicating webcam turns on but no video. On the 1545 is the same issue, video is not showing up. Everything else seems to be working fine. The funny thing is that at one point it was all working but I'm not sure why or when it all stop working. here are some specs....

Ok Update:

 

Camera (Webcam) is now working. I had to re-install snow leopard 10.6 , after that I only installed microsoft office 2008, and Ilife. Didn't install skype, adium, Iwork and didnt doo any updates. I think somewhere along the line something messes up the usb driver.. Will continue to update!!

Installed adium no problem as of yet. Haven't installed skype no updates
