After install it I get the ,,Still wait for root device" error or something like that and I don't now why. Before I had iDeneb 10.5.8 and I had no problems. I tried some kernels, patches etc but all faild me . Please help! audit13 Posted December 26, 2009 Share Posted December 26, 2009 Is it possible that there is no driver for your hard disk controllers in the Universal 3.6 disk? Does your motherboard support ahci? audit13 Posted December 26, 2009 Share Posted December 26, 2009 Since your mobo supports ahci, make sure your drives are set to ahci. If you're installing from a dvd, make sure you're using a sata dvd drive. Have you tried a retail SL installation? I find installing from a retail to be more compatible with a variety of motherboards.
