Hello everybody,

This is my first post here, so I'll try not to screw up :). I finally decided to give OSx86 a try on my old laptop. I tried snow leopard at first, but couldn't get the dvd to even boot, so I switched to Leopard and the installation went fine. That is, it went fine until the machine rebooted.

First, I ended up with the boot0:error problem, but after reading here I ran the terminal and made the partition active. However, the computer now boots directly in win XP. So I investigated further, and I think the problem is in my partition setup. To illustrate:

As you can see, Leopard is on a logical partition, which, according to what I saw, is a bad idea. My first question is, if I can still be able to boot Leopard with the current configuration?

I could reformat the partition and make it primary, however, partition magic states that since the partition is behind the 1024th cylinder it won't be bootable. I guess that would also be a problem?

So my question is, is there any possibility to salvage this installation, or should I completely restructure my harddrive so I have a another primary, bootable partition before the logicals?

Thanks a lot for your time, If there's some topic I missed I would really appreciate if you can direct me to it!

Greets,

Boyan
