Bballctr144
All, I am using the LifeHacker tutorial: http://lifehacker.com/5351485/how-to-build...start-to-finish I have already prepared my 8gb thumbdrive. The next step is to set the bios settings of my laptop, but my settings are extremely limited and just have basic options. I am able to boot the bootloader from the thumbdrive, but when I choose the hackintosh installation, my laptop just restarts. My laptop specs are: HP Pavilion dv6t Entertainment Quad • Espresso Black • Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit • Intel® Core i7-720QM Processor (1.6GHz, 6MB L2 Cache, 1333MHz FSB) • FREE Upgrade to 4GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm) from 2GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm) • FREE Upgrade to 500GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive from 320GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive • 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 230M • 15.6" diagonal High Definition LED HP Brightview Widescreen Display (1366x768) • Lightscribe Blu-Ray ROM with SuperMulti DVD+/-R/RW Double Layer • Webcam Only • Intel Wireless-N Mini-card with Bluetooth Is there anyway to get a better bios? I have updated to the latest HP Bios but the settings are still limited. Thank you all for your help and Merry Christmas!! I couldnt manage wifi to work, sound works but volume control is either on or off. Behaves like mute. LID sleep doesnt work and sleep from apple menu works. Latest chameleon and PCEFI 10.6 Processor is not detected seems like i need to mess with smbios. In activity viewer there are 8 cores shown but only one is working. 64bit.
